Alright. I know how a number feel about the 2Fort map. Easy, simple, populated by newbies that can be annoying, or just plain jerks. But, I still enjoy it there every now and again. In moderation or with the right set of players. A game of 2Fort can be exciting and entertaining.
Strategy can also be nice and complex so that it's a challenge. There has to be the right amount of offense, defense, and finesse to win against a capable set of players. Not to mention, this kind of map makes other classes more valuable, making for a greater range in strategy and game play.
ANYWAY. My point is that since we're very good as a team, we should be willing to broaden our range as a team as well. We should play some 2Fort and engage different challenges. Not only will this give us a chance to be even better, but it will bring up new challengers. So, what do you say, people?

It's not a competitive map. It's the equivalent of turning up to the tour de France with training wheels on your bike. Well.. Not exactly like that but I like the metaphor so I went with it.

lol, perfekt.
Yeah KTE, 2fort hold s a little special place in our hearts, but as we start becoming good players, we realize other maps present more fun fighting. I myself Played 2fort for i think like 6 months striaght b4 I even attempted any other map. Once I went to the bathroom while a vote was on and when I came back we were in Dustbowl. It was so intimidating that I never went to any other map again, LOL, ahh the good 'ol noob days. I know 2fort is actually Petey's favorite map *throws up*. I just dont like it anymore cause of one thing and one thing alone, CAMPERS. It's like they dont even play, they just sit there, but actually it's really not even that I hate. It's WHOLE TEAM CAMPING. When a whole side camps it's just super gay, so usually I go on a cheating spree, LMAO. Shooting the ceiling, invisible stabbing/sapping. That can be fun to fuck with noobs minds, lol. 2fort just seems cheap now that I feel I know most about this game by now. On a side note, I feel Hydro can be the same way sort of. A whole team can camp on that map also, which is really gay. In NBK we had a few scrims at 2fort at the request of the other team, but I will only agree to like 2 rounds at most, seeing how 4 rounds can literallly last about 3-4hrs, and nobody wants that.
Going away from the subject, one of the funniest things I've seen is when randoms send you a msg at DUSTBOWL saying all you do is camp, LMAO, when we all know it's impossible to 'camp' at DB with the rules as they are.
As far as scriming, Perfekt is right, it's not a competative map. Can be fun in random games, but not in scrims is my opinion.

I don't see how it can't be competitive. Besides, I'm talking about scrimming on with teams on both sides that actually know how to play. I know all the things that go wrong with it. But I see no reason to ignore a whole map. And I believe that if clans were to scrim on 2Fort, it should be the only map played that day, among other rules that could be developed for it.
Part of playing and loving a game should be treading all aspects of it. Doesn't anybody think that a game of capture the flag can be exciting? Planned attacks, assigned defenses, all that stuff. Just because it's considered a starter map doesn't mean it can't be played at a higher level.

Between two good enough teams 2fort is a bit of a stalemate tbh. Valve have since made more ctf maps with the aim of getting ctf into the competitive community and it has had some success (on PC). 2fort was always supposed to be a fun map. There has to be maps for people who want to just mess around as well as people who want to improve and test their skills. 2fort just proves that making a map which accomplishes both is harder than some would believe.

It's easy to perceive it as a map for messing around. But if it was just for that then there'd be no clear goal for it. I guess I put more thought into it than most. Everything seems more clear cut when there's a timer in front of you all the time and a direction that funnels one to their goal. But when stuff's gotta be figured out, it's usually put aside for other things.
Oh well.

it should be the only map played that day Tru, but sadly most just don't like 2fort enuff to put effort like that into it. I feel it's a place for noobs to top score and practice being Engy, spy & sniper. The most noob you can get in TF2 is campingin 2fort as pyro, it gets no noobish than that, lol. For me when I played 2fort, it was perfect for learning Engy & Spy, which were the only 2 classes I played as Nooby.

Then I guess people have tarnished another game. This is why we can't have nice things.

Of course. She just appreciates all the scenery of Middle America being tore up by a squad of marauding big-man(and sometimes women). Eh, eh?

Sometimes its fun to visit our roots to this game. To get the campers to move and actually play, get an engie to build in the enemy base and the others keep pushing. It forces a better player to move around and try tactics and some strategy. People will switch classes too. While trying to get rid of sentry, others can can grab bag during the distraction. For some sort of scrim, set time limit to 30 min, 2 rounds. For a time, I rarely bothered with 2 Fort but have played the map again recently, finding some noobs but others with potential and decent matches. As an upside, haven't seen as many glitchers like in DB and Pit.

2fort is that map we most of players call it "overated" for the simple reason it was one of the first map of tf2 and it's a fun map. Either way in ps3, this is the only ctf map. I just like 2fort, for reason to find good players and sometimes you can play a round for an "infinite" time (yea then sudden death ;___; ). Anyway i practice a lot with heavy in that place, havin fun to be a dangerous player :3 I know, newbie or n00b usually come here but ehi, when i got this game, i played 2fort too as first map We actually need new ctf maps -__- Oh: 1. Demos are gay in 2fort, just know why, it's better having a solly but wait...i hate him too destroying sentries and killin sniper just shootin to the ceiling -_- (lol sometimes they only shoot ceilings without goin forward .ò.). 2. Campin pyros are useless against me , unless campin pyro is on the water or tunnel <_< 3.Newbies or n00bs use too much scout to take the int, that's FUCKING annoying (i know you must take the int but cmon _O_) Alright, i'm done lol All maps you can have fun, you must hope a good team against a good team.

Alright, thanks. This could make for an interesting challenge. Thanks for considering my proposal.
So you tried, Heavy, huh? See? Not so bad, just can't play like a meat head, but he's got the power, baby.
